Four Sussex County Halloween destinations have confirmed 2026 dates, from a glowing pumpkin trail in Augusta to a PG-13 haunted train in Byram. We will add more as towns confirm parades and trunk-or-treats.
Jack-O’-Lantern Experience, Augusta
The Jack-O’-Lantern Experience at Skylands Stadium, 94 Championship Place, Augusta, runs select dates through Sunday, November 1, 2026. Visitors walk through more than 6,000 hand carved jack-o’-lanterns in about 45 minutes, with an interactive corn maze, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, s’mores fire pit and beer garden on the grounds. General admission is $20, VIP access is $39, children 36 inches and under are free, and parking is free. Available dates are shown on the official ticket page, and questions can go to (973) 383-7644.
Haunted Wild West City, Byram
Haunted Wild West City, 50 Lackawanna Drive, Stanhope, in Byram Township, runs every Friday and Saturday through Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 10 PM. A $30 ticket covers a haunted train ride and a haunted walking trail. The park rates it PG-13 and warns of loud noises, gunfire and jump scares. Details are on the Haunted Wild West City page.
Haunted Hayrides at Lentini Farms, Newton
Lentini Farms, 251 High Street, Newton, runs Haunted Hayrides on Friday and Saturday nights through Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 7 PM to 10 PM. There are no reservations, each ticket covers one ride, and rides run weather permitting. Tickets are sold through the Lentini Farms ticket page.
Boo at the Zoo, Space Farms Zoo and Museum
Space Farms Zoo and Museum, 218 County Road 519, Beemerville (Sussex, NJ 07461), holds Boo at the Zoo on Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with last entrance at 4 p.m. Per the zoo’s events page, every child under 12 in costume who is accompanied by a full priced adult is admitted free. Costumed children also receive goodie bags, and a costume contest starts at 2 p.m. Adult admission is not listed on the events page, so call (973) 875-3223 for rates.
Several of these events sell out on peak weekends, so we recommend buying tickets online ahead of time and checking each organizer’s page for weather updates the day you go.
