Lunar Faire brings its Halloweekend night market to the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 3 to 10 p.m. The traveling witchy and weird market calls this its 6th annual Halloweekend Spectacle and its season-ending faire, and it runs two hours longer than its regular events, which is why our team has it circled as one of the most unusual Halloween nights on the Sussex County calendar.

What Lunar Faire Is

Lunar Faire describes itself as a pop-up night market that celebrates ambiance, the strange and unusual, the moon and all the weird things people make and do. According to the Lunar Faire attend page, the market began in North Jersey and has been traveling to venues across the state ever since. Expect craft vendors with an offbeat streak, intuitive services, performers and a crowd that takes its costumes seriously, though the organizers stress that jeans and a T-shirt are just as welcome.

What Is New for Halloweekend 2026

The official Halloweekend ticket page lists a long run of extras planned just for this faire, including:

  • All-day spellwork with opening and closing ceremonies, a Samhain celebration, an ancestor altar and a cacao ceremony
  • A fire wire walker, aerialists and bonus fire performances
  • The Pumpkin of Chaos, a free ride the organizers compare to a mechanical bull
  • A levitating witch, a unicyclist and the return of the Lunar Fear Haunted Barn
  • Live music from Chained to the Dead, In Your Top 8 and Saint Valentine, plus Fogo Azul, a women-led Brazilian samba reggae drumline
  • A Rocky Horror cabaret by Ordinary Kids
  • A Human Slot Machine fundraiser for Sussex County Pride
  • A Misfit Costume Parade around the faire and a costume contest hosted by Cookie Doe, with a free 2027 season pass for the winner
  • Vendor trick or treat, games, a free giant moon photo booth and a free 360-degree video booth

The regular Lunar Faire lineup is on hand too: a non-alcoholic Potions Lab, food trucks, group spellmaking with the Lunar Queene, the Lunar Faire Drag Show, fire dancing, a drum circle, fortune telling, sound healing, sideshow acts, and fairy hair, henna and face paint. The organizers say more surprises are still in the works.

Tickets, Kids and Parking

Because Halloweekend is the longest faire of the season, presale tickets are $25 and gate tickets on the day of the event are $35. Kids under 10 get in free. Tickets are sold through Eventbrite, and all sales are final, with no refunds or transfers unless the organizers cancel or reschedule.

Parking is free. General parking is on grass, and accessible parking is on asphalt close to the entry gate. The organizers describe the fairgrounds as mostly flat and grassy with asphalt roads, so most mobility devices can get around the venue easily.

More Halloween Season Fun in Augusta

The fairgrounds are busy this month. A week earlier, on October 17, the same grounds host the free Harvest Honey & Garlic Festival, and also in Augusta the Jack-O’-Lantern Experience at Skylands Stadium lights up Augusta through November 1, making it easy to build a full spooky season weekend in our corner of the county.
