About the Holiday Road Tour

The 2026 Holiday Road Tour is a 10-city run that starts December 2 in Cranston, Rhode Island and ends December 18 in Des Moines, Iowa, according to the tour announcement published by MusicRow. The Newton Theatre date on December 5 is the fourth stop. MusicRow describes the show as a blend of Evans’ hits and beloved holiday favorites.

In the tour announcement, Evans said, “I love getting to hit the road with my band and bring our versions of your favorite holiday songs to your hometown.” Braden Hull opens every date on the tour.

Who is Sara Evans?

Sara Evans is a country singer from Missouri. Her No. 1 country hits include “No Place That Far,” “Born to Fly,” “Suds in the Bucket,” “A Real Fine Place to Start” and “A Little Bit Stronger.” She has also released holiday music, including the 2014 album At Christmas, so the holiday material is familiar ground.

For fans, the appeal of this stop is scale. The Newton Theatre is a historic Spring Street theater, not an arena, which means a closer view of the stage than most country tours offer.

Make a weekend of it

December 5 lands on the same weekend as the German Christmas Market of New Jersey at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, which makes an easy daytime plan before the concert. The night before, Friday, Dec. 4, the theatre hosts Christmas with the Celts. See every show in our guide to Newton Theatre holiday shows 2026.
