Newton Theatre 2027 shows start with a classic rock night: Creedence Revived, billed by SKYPAC as the world’s premier CCR tribute, plays The Newton Theatre at 234 Spring Street in Newton on Friday, January 15, 2027. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m., according to the SKYPAC events list. Ticket prices are not posted on the events list, so check skypac.org for tickets or call the box office at 973-940-6398.

When our team checked the SKYPAC events list, Creedence Revived was the only show on the calendar for January 2027, with the schedule picking back up in February. Venues add dates all the time, so we will keep this guide updated. Below you will find the January show, what is coming in February and early March, box office hours, parking and where to eat before the show.

Newton Theatre January 2027 Show List

Creedence Revived: Friday, January 15, 2027

  • Date: Friday, January 15, 2027
  • Doors: 7 p.m.
  • Show: 8 p.m.
  • Where: The Newton Theatre, 234 Spring Street, Newton, NJ 07860
  • Tickets: skypac.org/creedence-revived or the box office at 973-940-6398

SKYPAC describes Creedence Revived as “the world’s premier CCR tribute,” a band selling out shows globally and delivering “an electrifying recreation of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s iconic catalog.” If you grew up on Creedence Clearwater Revival, this is the January night to circle. A mid-January Friday concert in a 1920s theater on Spring Street is also an easy date night or a way to get out of the house after the holidays.

The show page and the events list both list Friday, January 15. Individual show pages on the SKYPAC site sometimes carry older copy, so treat the events list as the main schedule and confirm the date and time on skypac.org before you buy.

Clay Aiken: Sunday, February 28, 2027

Doors 6 p.m., show 7 p.m. Per SKYPAC, Clay Aiken brings his Rewind 2027 Tour to Newton, back with new music after 18 years. Details: skypac.org/clay-aiken.

Vandenberg: My Whitesnake Years: Friday, March 5, 2027

Doors 7 p.m., show 8 p.m. SKYPAC’s listing says Whitesnake guitarist Adrian Vandenberg is joined by bassist Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy) and guitarist Vinnie Moore (UFO) for a night of classic rock. Check the events list for tickets.

Still Have December? Catch a Holiday Show First

December is the busiest month on the Newton Theatre calendar. The events list shows holiday concerts running through Sunday, December 20, 2026, including Rascals: Rockin’ the Holidays on Thursday, December 17 (doors 6 p.m., show 7 p.m.), From Good Homes on Friday and Saturday, December 18 and 19 (doors 7 p.m., show 8 p.m.), and Top of the World: A Carpenter’s Christmas Show as a 3 p.m. matinee on Sunday, December 20. Our full rundown is in our guide to Newton Theatre holiday shows for 2026.

About The Newton Theatre

The Newton Theatre has been part of downtown Newton for a century. According to the SKYPAC history page, William Houghton built it in January 1923 as a stadium-type theater that could accommodate 1,000 patrons, and it officially opened on May 15, 1924. Over the decades it ran as a movie house, closed and reopened several times, and in September 2011 it reopened with a Todd Rundgren concert, with a capacity of 605. Today it is operated by Skylands Performing Arts Center (SKYPAC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission, per its website, is “providing programs that educate, entertain and inspire all audiences.”
