Looking for wineries and distilleries in Sussex County, NJ? Our team rounded up the three tasting rooms we could confirm are open in the county right now: a family vineyard in Wantage and two craft distilleries in Hamburg and Branchville. Hours, addresses and what to expect below come from each business’s own website.
All three make what they pour on site, and each one works well as a weekend stop on a drive through the northern half of the county. If beer is more your speed, see our guide to breweries in Sussex County, NJ.

Ventimiglia Vineyard sits on the family’s 50-acre Rocky Ridge Farm at 101 Layton Road in Wantage, in the rolling farm country near the New York line. Wines are poured in a cozy tasting room, and from late spring through early autumn guests can sit outside at picnic tables with their own picnic lunch or snacks. The farm also has hiking trails, which makes it an easy pairing for a walk before or after a tasting.
The vineyard is open for its 2026 season with open tastings every Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. and every Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. The tasting fee is $5, and no reservations are needed. There are no open tasting hours during the week, but you can call 973-875-4333 to set up a visit and buy wine. Private tastings and small gatherings are available by appointment through events@ventivines.com.

Its venue covers more than 11,000 square feet, with room for casual visitors, scheduled groups and private events.
Guests can take a tour of the production facility to see how each batch is made, or sit down for a tasting and learn the story behind the spirits. Some experiences welcome walk-ins, while tours can be reserved ahead. Claremont also hosts live music every Saturday night. Hours are 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, closed Monday through Wednesday. Call 973-566-1334.

Tours run every half hour, and you do not need to book one ahead. The tasting room is open Friday from 4 to 10 p.m., Saturday from 1 to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. Weekday hours, noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, are for bottle and gift card pickup only. Call 973-948-0178.
