Why Sussex County
Sussex County is New Jersey’s outdoor county. It is home to High Point, the highest point in the state at 1,803 feet, miles of the Appalachian Trail, Stokes State Forest, the Delaware Water Gap and Lake Hopatcong. It hosts the New Jersey State Fair in Augusta every summer, and in the fall its farms, orchards and pumpkin patches draw visitors from all over the region. It is also packed with small businesses and main streets that deserve a bigger spotlight.

We are bringing the same approach to Sussex County: useful event roundups, honest recommendations, local news and a big push for the businesses that make each town what it is.
