Concerts, pumpkin festivals, a pig roast and haunted trains give Sussex County a full slate from Friday, October 2, through Sunday, October 4, 2026. We checked each listing against the organizer or a local calendar, and we list the times and prices we could confirm. Here is our guide, in roughly the order you might plan the weekend.
The Outlaws at The Newton Theatre, Newton
Southern rock band The Outlaws play The Newton Theatre, 234 Spring Street, Newton, on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 8 PM. Tickets are listed at $58 on the Life In Sussex event page, and the show is expected to run until about 10:30 PM. More details are on the SkyPAC page for the concert.
Fall Fest at Lentini Farms, Newton
Lentini Farms, 251 High Street in Newton, opens its Fall Fest on Friday, October 2, 2026. Hours this weekend are Friday 4 PM to 10 PM, Saturday 11 AM to 10 PM and Sunday 11 AM to 4 PM. The farm lists a corn maze, sunflower fields, pumpkin picking, hayrides, games, food vendors and live music. Haunted hayrides run Friday and Saturday nights from 7 PM to 10 PM. Tickets are sold through the Lentini Farms website.
Haunted Wild West City, Byram
Haunted Wild West City opens for the season on Friday, October 2, 2026, and runs Fridays and Saturdays from 6:30 PM to 10 PM through October 31. A $30 ticket covers a haunted train ride and a haunted walking trail, and the park calls the experience PG-13. The park is at 50 Lackawanna Drive, Stanhope, in Byram Township, and its official page has the details.
Great Pumpkin Festival at Heaven Hill Farm, Vernon
Heaven Hill Farm, 451 State Route 94, Vernon, hosts the Great Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, 2026. The farm lists Sunday hours as 10 AM to 6 PM. Weekend admission is $24.99 online, and it includes more than 35 activities such as hayrides, the corn maze and pig races. See the festival page for tickets.
Fall Fest at Mountain Creek Resort, Vernon
Mountain Creek Resort, 200 Route 94, Vernon, runs its 4th Annual Fall Fest on weekends through October 25, 2026. Early October weekend hours are 11 AM to 6 PM. Sky Rides cost $14.99 plus fees, and the Harvest Circle, pumpkin painting, lawn games and hay maze are listed as free. Tickets must be bought online through the Mountain Creek Fall Fest page.
Pig Roast and Community Harvest Day, Stillwater
Fairview Lake YMCA Camps, 1035 Fairview Lake Road, hosts its Pig Roast and Community Harvest Day on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 1 PM to 4:30 PM. Admission is $21 for ages 15 and up, $11 for ages 5 to 14, and free for ages 4 and under. Get details on the Fairview Lake YMCA community page.
